Squier Telecaster (blade switch)
Most Squier models (and some MIM models) are fitted with a blade switch, rather than the rotary version, found in higher-end models. Although the setup is the same, the switch requires wiring differently.
USA Standard Wiring
Standard Telecaster wiring, utilizing a rotary switch and CTS pots, as found in USA models.
4-way Switching Mod
The four-way Tele switch configuration works with an Oak Grigsby Or CRL 4-way switch to give you both series and parallel circuits. This great little wiring enhancement for Telecaster guitars that really opens up the tone options for you.

Telecaster Deluxe Wiring Diagram

Nocaster
The Fender Nocaster wiring circuit offers versatile tonal options, improved tone control, and enhanced sonic flexibility. It retains the classic vintage Fender sound while allowing easy blending of pickups, making it ideal for various musical styles and settings.
HS Telecaster Mod
The Telecaster HS wiring kit uses CTS 500k pots and an Orange Drop capacitor to improve tone and performance. A 500k resistor is added to the single-coil circuit to step down the pot to 250k, taming high frequencies for a traditional Telecaster sound. The CRL 3-way switch allows selection between pickups.

This mod increases the Esquire’s versatility by offering different tonal palettes from a single pickup, making it suitable for various playing styles and musical genres.
