Crafted to perfection, the Caliber 6567 WTS pickups from Wilkinson are specially designed for blues enthusiasts seeking to recreate the legendary Stevie Ray Vaughan's guitar tone. The pickups are meticulously voiced to capture the character and essence of the late blues legend's signature sound.
INNOVATIONS
Handcrafted with care, the Caliber 6567 WTS range employs 4.8mm Alnico II Pole-pieces for a vintage sound and less string pull.
After assembling the pickup with fibre top and bottom plates and installing magnets, the assembly is dipped in lacquer and air-dry it before winding. AWG .42 gauge Plain enamel wire is used to wind the bobbins to Wilkinson's specifications. A further air-dried lacquer coating is added to the coil to prevent feedback from coil movement.
The Caliber 6567 WTS pickups are available individually or as a set. They feature staggered pole pieces for a balanced string response with slightly chamfered pole pieces. The WTS middle pickup is reverse wound/reverse polarity to cancel out any hum.
