The Wilkinson Caliber 5659 WOS is a meticulously crafted replica of the original single coil pickups that were featured on the iconic Stratocaster guitar from 1956 to 1959. The tema behind the development of these pickups has dedicated countless hours to listening and comparing the sounds of vintage pickups to ensure that the Caliber 5659 WOS set delivers an authentic vintage tone.
INNOVATIONS
The meticulous craftsmanship is evident in the Caliber 5659 WOS. Produced in small batches, these pickups boast 3/16″ (4.8mm) Alnico V magnets with chamfered tops, placed between black fibre plates.
These are dipped in clear lacquer and air-dried to prevent coil feedback., wound with AWG .42 gauge formvar wire to our precise settings, and dipped once again in clear lacquer, they offer added protection.
Featuring staggered pole pieces and cotton-covered push-back vintage wires, ensures an authentic vintage tone reminiscent of the 1950s.

Trev Wilkinson's fascination with legendary guitar players led him into the world of music. Hank Marvin's use of vibrato piqued his interest in inventing a device that would eventually become part of the Wilkinson brand.
