The Wilkinson Caliber 2020 Hybrid Humbucker presents a unique pickup design that departs from conventional construction methods. Featuring two classic pickup designs in a single unit, it provides exceptional versatility for players seeking to break away from tradition.
Unlike typical humbuckers, the Caliber 2020 incorporates a special-positioned ceramic bar magnet beneath the slugs of the bobbin coil, combined with a single coil Alnico V rod magnet loaded bobbin-less pickup. The pickup is optimized for circuits that allow it to be split to the single Alnico coil, making it an ideal choice for HSH and SSH pickup configurations where maximum tonal flexibility is desired.
The Caliber 2020 offers classic single coil tones as well as a full, driving humbucker voice that delivers plenty of bottom end while remaining clear and defined.
