Low Profile Telecaster Compatible Bridge with Brass Saddles

If you're the kind of player who likes to rest their hand on the bridge, then this Low Profile Telecaster Compatible Bridge offers the perfect medium between modern playability and vintage looks. Coming with four colour matched screws, it makes a great replacement for your stock Tele bridge, or as part of a brand new guitar build.

Brass Saddles

Brass saddles are amongst the best materials out there when it comes to bridge saddles design. This is because they impart a warm tonality that isn't too bright, whilst being hard enough to not suffer from wear over time and deliver excellent intonation properties.

These particular brass saddles have grooves that stagger the break point of each string. This results in a more exacting intonation when compared to traditional vintage style saddles. Each of these saddles are reversible and can be used in any position.

Dual Loading Bridge Design

This bridge is dual loading, so you can have your strings as top loading or string thru. There are various reasons you might choose either, so having both as an option is a pretty good deal!

String Thru

When using a string thru bridge, you'll have increased tension versus that of a top loading bridge, which some players prefer as it gives you a more stable playing platform, particularly when you're plucking with your fingers. It really comes down to personal preference which you prefer, as both will sound equally great, just different.

Top Loading

When top loading, the strings are top mounted to the back of the bridge, which means a slightly lesser string tension than that of a through body. This will make the guitar sound more resonant and lively, which some players prefer over string-thru style bridges.

Tele Bridge Design

The Telecaster bridge design is unique because it also acts as a mount for the bridge pickup. Most likely influenced by the design of lap steel guitars, the baseplate inreases the magnetic force of the Alnico slugs on the pickups, upping the magnetic strength and making the pickups more powerful. This sonic side effect is what gives Tele pickups their cutting sound.

Low Profile Style

This bridge has a mash up of the classic 'Ash Tray' style design, with a raised surround at the saddle end of the bridge that drops down. The cutaway sides improve playability for players with a certain picking style, having more in common with the more modern Tele-style bridge designs. This way you get both the vintage aesthetic of an 'Ash Tray' bridge, with the playability and easy palm muting of a modern Telecaster bridge.

Replacement Tele Bridge

This Low Profile Telecaster Compatible Bridge with Brass Saddles is a high quality bit of kit that will see improvements in tone, tuning stability, sustain, and intonation. Designed to fit the vast majority of Telecaster and Tele-style guitars, it's easy to install thanks to the supplied screws and saddle adjusting wrench.

Good Quality, Good Price

The cutaway sides makes this bridge feel much less bulky and chunky than a standard ashtray bridge with full height sides. I'm pretty sure this is made in the same factory as the "W" brand bridges. The compensated barrel saddles are nicely finished, the holes for the strings have good smooth edges, and the black finish of the baseplate is consistent and has a nice satin black sheen. It's a pity the black one has a strange film on the baseplate from the factory that needs to be buffed off. It could be improved with two screw holes at the front corners to stop it from lifting and vibrating, as sometimes happens with ashtray bridges that are only secured by screws at the back edge, but then it wouldn't be entirely compatible with "T" guitars.

Good design

I installed this on my top loaded T-style. The intonation and break angle are good. It also looks cool! I got mine in black. The finish doesn't look perfect up close but I really can't complain at this price.
