Known for its reliability and consistent performance, the Sprague Orange Drop .033µF Capacitor shapes your guitar’s tone by providing balanced treble control and maintaining clarity when adjusting the tone knob.

The .033uF guitar tone capacitor is for those seeking a middle ground between the .022uF and .047uF capacitors. Whilst the .022uF is great for humbuckers and the .047uF perfect for single-coils the .033uF sits just in between, great if you have slightly darker sounding single coils or a bright humbucker.

Why not give it a try.

Using a 0.33 cap instead of the usual 0.22 cap was a bit of an experiment on my Partscaster Strat, on a personal level I like it, will definitely be using them again on future projects.

Tonal adjustment for Hofner President hollowbody

I needed to roll off the tone on my jazzbox without making holes for a tone pot. I decided to solder an OD across the jack socket. The .033 proved too high resistance for this purpose. I used an .002 in the event. Just right, like a tone knob rolled part way off, exactly what I was looking for. With an adjustable tone knob the .033 would be fine.
