Northwest Guitars SG Style Tremolo

Bring the classic early-'60s SG look and feel to your guitar with our SG-style vibrato system. Modelled on the long-arm Vibrola design made famous on vintage SG models, it adds a subtle, expressive shimmer to chords and lead lines, and gives your guitar the unmistakable lyre-plate look of a period-correct '61-style SG.

This is a vintage-style vibrato, built for gentle pitch movement and warble rather than heavy dive-bombs. It's ideal for players who want authentic vintage looks with a touch of movement, and for restorers and builders recreating classic SG-style instruments.

Features

• Classic long-arm Vibrola-style design with decorative lyre coverplate
• Smooth, light vibrato action for subtle pitch bends and shimmer
• Replaces a standard stopbar tailpiece on SG-style guitars
• Designed for use with a Tune-o-matic style bridge
• Arm can be swung out of the way when not in use
• [Finish] finish to match vintage-style hardware

Fitting Notes

• The unit mounts to the guitar top with screws; existing stopbar stud holes are not used and may be left open or plugged
• Fitting to a guitar not originally routed for a vibrato will require new screw holes to be drilled
• For best tuning stability, we recommend a well-cut, lubricated nut and locking or well-maintained tuners
• If you're not confident drilling your guitar's top, we recommend professional fitting
