A fully assembled, solder-free upgrade for your Jazzmaster. This Hosco pre-wired pickguard drops straight in with the complete vintage-style control set already installed and tested — lead circuit, rhythm circuit, switching and output jack — so you can rewire your offset in minutes without touching a soldering iron.

Choose to have a matched set of Hosco Velvetone pickups installed and wired into your pickguard, ready to play out of the box. Hand-wound in Japan by Retro Tone Pickups — a workshop with over a decade of Jazzmaster pickup-building experience and a first-choice name among Japanese offset players — these are a true vintage-voiced Jazzmaster pickup, not a hot modern reissue.

Each pickup is wound with traditional AWG42 heavy Formvar wire, the same wire used in the 1950s, for rich harmonic content and a thick, deep low end that tames harsh highs. Unbeveled, staggered Alnico V polepieces throw strong magnetic lines from their edges to catch string vibration and give the tone real bite and clarity. Every pickup is quality wax-potted to keep it quiet and feedback-free on stage.
