Hosco Japan wooden sanding blocks for use with guitar fretboards.

The blocks are designed for radius fretboard sanding with a sanding area of 65x150mm.

One side of the block has a 7.25" radius. The reverse side has a 9.5" radius - Ideal for Telecaster/Stratocaster necks.

Radius sanding block

I eventually bit the bullet and decided to do a fret dress.

The idea of using radiused sanding blocks seemed sensible, and as I have a number of instruments with various fretboard radii it made sense to cover as many bases as possible.

The Hosco blocks made short work of getting the frets level prior to crowning, followed by the inevitable polishing, polishing, polishing, followed by yet more polishing, and at the end of the process I have a guitar that's set up to my perfection, and is great to play.
