Watkins Rapier 22 regeneration

Ordering items from NWG has always been strait forward and items well packed , arriving in good time,top marks .
The Artec Filtertrons have been fitted to a home build of different parts, Watkins Rapier 24” scale neck fitted to an strat style body (25 3/4”)from Brandoni guitars Wembley. A lot of “ fettling” was needed to get the Filatrons to fit. The pickups were replacing old Watkins humbuckers,which had a 60s sound.
These pick-ups are very much louder, and have, as near a sound as the old Watkins. Very Gretch like. For the price they are good pick ups. Have played out with other guys and my guitar sound can be heard different from the other well know makes. As they said in Filtertron sales discription, a 50s/60s sound. :-)

Great sound from these pickups

Fitted these into an re 335 copy. I was amazed how loud they were. I had to lower them quiet a bit to get a great clean sound even then backing off the volume helped which allows for a boost straight off the guitar! Thoroughly recommend
