These machine heads fitted my guitar perfectly - installation was very easy - thank you

I bought these to replace the tuners on my trusty Vintage V300. I had to sand the holes in the headstock slightly to accommodate the new tuners, but otherwise they were easy to install.
The retro look of the tuners suits the style of the guitar, they are smooth to operate and the guitar stays in tune.
Overall I'm very happy with my purchase.

Took a punt that these would replace the open back tuners on a mid priced Acoustic. They were a perfect fit, screw holes matched exactly and the machine heads move smoothly and accurately. Great quality at the price.

You might think that these are somehow lesser quality than, for example, Grovers, other makes are available. You`d be wrong, I have both, and the Wilkinsons are just as good in fit and finish. The 19-1 gearing might not suit everybody but if you have a mechanical or electric string winder, it`s just an advantage to have the finer adjustment. How long lasting these will be in daily use remains to be seen, but they are plated steel with brass gears, so no different to other machine heads that have given good service for many years.
I will admit that they were chosen on price as well as quality - I already have Wilkinson machines on an electric 12 string, and they`ve done well. They are practical, reliable and they have the advantage of having a decent length of shaft which allows the tuning buttons a decent clearance from the headstock.
