Play Harder, Faster, Longer and stay in tune!

One of the key causes of tuning frustration is string binding at the nut.  TUSQ XL is impregnated with PTFE, the slipperiest substance on earth and alleviates the binding grip the nut has on the strings. Strings simply glide back into tune!

How does it sound?

With TUSQ XL you will hear more richness from every note you play.  Engineered from the same material as our highly esteemed TUSQ, it has all the tonal benefits of TUSQ, bringing out the hidden harmonics by transferring your strings vibrations efficiently to the guitar.  TUSQ XL is consistent from piece to piece, and within each piece, to offer you harmonically rich tones without the problems associated with natural materials.

It the dog’s nuts!

I’ve mostly used tusq nuts for years and never had any complaints, in fact most clients are amazed how much difference they make. Most recently had a good quality Squier tele with a lot of neck problems. The nut grooves looked too deep and clearly binding so I started with the nut. Absolute sod to get the old one out must have been superglued in coz I had to break into bits to remove it. Cleaned the slot and the tusq replacement slotted straight in with a little sanding and length adjustment. Immediately made a big difference and subsequently very little neck adjustment required. Happy customer!
