Our first Alnico 2 Tele set offers blues and jazz players warm, rich trebles and superb sustain, whilst still maintaining enough tele-twang on the bridge pickup to keep up with country licks. This is our lowest output telecaster set, and lets your guitar ring! In particular, this set works great with a snappier maple fingerboard telecaster, controlling harsh trebles and overly boomy bass notes.

All bridge pickups come with our modified vintage stagger, and are available in right and left-handed models.

Tone Rider Alnico 2 blues

Great pickups - very well packaged - given me that country blues sound on my partscaster I’ve been looking for and at less than half the price of Fender PU’s

Inexpensive upgrade for a old battered Squier telecaster.

I put these into a cheap charity shop 1991 Squier Telecaster and it is a great improvement. I didn't much like the pickups that were in it, so didn't play it much, and when they started playing up I started to look for a relatively inexpensive replacement for this battered old guitar. I bought these based purely on on-line reviews and you-tube samples. I was torn between these and the vintage plus, but I felt that these had a bit more character and were more to my taste. I put them in, gave it a full setup and a fresh set of strings and now it plays really nicely again. Generally I use the neck pick up on this guitar, and it gives a nice bright sound, with a bit of bite when you dig in. Very happy with my choice.

Bluesy

I fitted the Tonerider pickups to a Harley Benton Telecaster. Once I had them positioned 2-3mm under the strings with the 12th fret held down as advised in the information it gave the guitar a nice Bluesy sound. Well satisfied with that

Fabulous value for money.

In a blindfold test through a nice amp nobody’s going to guess that these were affordable pickups. Bridge is what you’re expecting, neck is warmer. I hate ice pick treble so I love ‘em. NW Guitars are really helpful.
