Product details

5-hole Vintage 50's style Scratchplate to fit most USA, Mexican Telecasters

Early 50's scratchplates were typically made out of Bakelite material. Celluloid materials were introduced a little later, typically single-ply in either white or black.

The pickguard was fixed to the body with 5 mounting screws, and there were no holes for mounting the neck pickup (the pickup was mounted directly into the pickup cavity on the body).

We've modelled our 5 hole scratchplates on this 1950's design, but with a wider variety of colours and a choice of single or 3-ply.

Specification

3 ply scratchplates: 2.4mm thick

5 hole blackguard

Good quality product and a really good price. However I haven't fitted it yet as the guitar that I wanted it for, only arrived today. I'll be able to give you a better review when it's been fitted.

Telecaster Pickguard

On my particular Telecaster the pickguard required 30 work to fit correctly around the end of the control plate but otherwise fitted perfectly. We'll finished around the edges too.
