The Gotoh GE101Z is a traditional stop tailpiece designed for use with Tune-o-matic style bridges. Manufactured in Japan, it delivers precise machining, solid materials, and reliable string anchoring for both USA and metric-spec instruments.
The tailpiece features height-adjustable metric posts spaced 82mm apart (standard Gibson spacing) and mounts securely into steel body bushings. Brass studs provide strength and smooth adjustment, while the knurled steel anchors ensure a stable fit in the body.
For metric ‘import’ guitars such as Epiphone, Schecter, ESP LTD and similar models, the supplied 8mm threaded posts will screw directly into the majority of existing tailpiece bushings.
For USA imperial-spec guitars (for example a Gibson Les Paul), the Gotoh tailpiece body can be fitted onto the existing imperial studs.
The GE101Z supports both traditional rear stringing and front-feed top wrapping, allowing the tailpiece to be lowered fully against the body if preferred.
