Product details

The SRN-R13 combines classic tonewood with modern comfort, featuring a rosewood fretboard, 21 frets, and a modern C profile. Its smooth satin finish ensures effortless playability, making it an excellent choice for players who want a sleek, fast-feeling neck with a warm, rich tone.

Crafted for outstanding performance

Northwest Guitars Stratocaster-compatible necks are crafted for outstanding performance. Made from hand-selected, A-grade North American maple, each neck is built to offer superior strength, stability, and excellent tonal quality. Whether you’re upgrading your existing guitar, replacing a worn neck, or working on a new build, these necks provide the perfect balance of quality and affordability.

Precision Fit and Premium Components

Designed for ultimate compatibility, our necks are ideal replacements for genuine Fender models, including MIA, MIM, MIJ, and Squier. With a 55.5mm (2 3/16”) wide curved heel, they ensure a snug fit in the neck pocket for easy installation. The pre-slotted, flat-bottom bone nut provides excellent tone straight out of the box and is left unglued, allowing for easy shaping or replacement if needed.

Impeccable Fretwork and Unique Design

Each neck features nickel silver frets that are carefully leveled and polished for smooth playability and precise intonation. The headstock design is reminiscent of classic models but is unique to Northwest Guitars, giving your guitar a distinctive yet familiar look.

Inspected for Perfection

Every neck undergoes a detailed inspection by our team before shipping to ensure you receive a top-quality product. Whether you’re after a classic vintage vibe or a custom design, Northwest Guitars necks deliver professional-level performance at an unbeatable price.

Please note: We are unable to pre-drill the mounting holes into the back of the neck for you. This is because we cannot guarantee that the holes we drill will be a 100% match with those on your guitar body.

Drilling holes for guitar necks is quite simple to do, and you can find an easy to follow tutorial here.

Great Neck

Great guitar neck for a new build, felt right at home as soon as I had a jam!

Strat compatible maple neck with rosewood fingerboard

This is the second similar neck I have bought and fitted. The first was a 22 fret gloss finished one which is very good and needed very little fret levelling and dressing. This second one required a similar amount of setup. The nut on the second one was made of a yellowish material that was not particularly well cut. Fortunately I had a Tusq nut that was fitted in short order and is performing in a satisfactory manner. The 'satin' finish is actually more like matt and feels on the dry side. No doubt it will improve with use. I still need to oil the fingerboard. The headstock shape has changed slightly from that of my first example but is tidy enough. On balance a good neck, and good value for money.

Stratocaster neck

These necks from northwest guitars are very good for the price and over the years I’ve had a few from them the service and delivery is always top notch. But that said the last few necks I’ve purchased I’ve had to do some fret dressing as there was some high fret’s and needed levelling.before I could play them.but I’ve bought more expensive necks and still need some work doing to them.but overall these necks are made to a very high standard.

Superb quality and service!

Bought a stratocaster neck for a parts guitar and jave been well impressed with the quality and speed of delivery! I have had numerous necks over the years and this one is the best value and fitted perfectly with minimal fret dressing and adjustment! I didn’t even have to touch the nut and just a slight turn of the truss rod to suit my personal set up!

Decent value but work needed

Decent quality neck. Roughly half of the frets were level so you’ll need to level, round and polish the frets. The nut will also need to filed if you’re not planning on replacing it. Thickness of the wood on the headstock is thinner than a standard strat neck by Fender. At this price you should expect to have to do some work to get it really playable. It’s a good neck as a starting point to mod :-)
