Product details

The SRTN-1970-R blends vintage aesthetics with smooth playability, featuring a larger 1970s CBS-style headstock and a rosewood fretboard with a vintage gloss finish. With 22 frets and a 12” radius, this neck offers a classic look while ensuring comfortable, modern performance for any playing style.

Crafted for outstanding performance

Northwest Guitars Stratocaster-compatible necks are crafted for outstanding performance. Made from hand-selected, A-grade North American maple, each neck is built to offer superior strength, stability, and excellent tonal quality. Whether you’re upgrading your existing guitar, replacing a worn neck, or working on a new build, these necks provide the perfect balance of quality and affordability.

Precision Fit and Premium Components

Designed for ultimate compatibility, our necks are ideal replacements for genuine Fender models, including MIA, MIM, MIJ, and Squier. With a 55.5mm (2 3/16”) wide curved heel, they ensure a snug fit in the neck pocket for easy installation. The pre-slotted, flat-bottom bone nut provides excellent tone straight out of the box and is left unglued, allowing for easy shaping or replacement if needed.

Impeccable Fretwork and Unique Design

Each neck features nickel silver frets that are carefully leveled and polished for smooth playability and precise intonation. The headstock design is reminiscent of classic models but is unique to Northwest Guitars, giving your guitar a distinctive yet familiar look.

Inspected for Perfection

Every neck undergoes a detailed inspection by our team before shipping to ensure you receive a top-quality product. Whether you’re after a classic vintage vibe or a custom design, Northwest Guitars necks deliver professional-level performance at an unbeatable price.

Please note: We are unable to pre-drill the mounting holes into the back of the neck for you. This is because we cannot guarantee that the holes we drill will be a 100% match with those on your guitar body.

Drilling holes for guitar necks is quite simple to do, and you can find an easy to follow tutorial here.

70s Strat neck

Fantastic neck, easy to fit to my Mex Player and only needed slight truss rod adjustment. Looking forward to a full build once the hardtail body I want is in stock.

Worth the wait!

I waited a few months for this neck to come into stock but as always it was worth the wait! I've bought various necks and bodies over the last few years from NWG and have never been let down by quality, finish or value yet. Thanks guys. I've got the body, Just need to settle on the hardware now.

70’s Stratocaster neck

Purchased the 70’s Stratocaster neck for my partscaster, found the quality and finish very good, very comfortable to play, possibly my favourite neck for feel slightly fuller than my real strat but definitely not bulky, helped with the tone which really surprised me as I never really considered this in my process of making my own strat style guitar, tried several necks on my partscaster including a real Fender one but can quite honestly say I prefer this one, it’s been on for a few months now so I know it’s not just the novelty
Well done Northwest guitars
