Different strap button design

I've been using Dunlop Straplocks for years, have them on most of my guitars. Perhaps I bought the wrong type (is this the 'Flush fitting?) but the strap buttons are different, the versions I have, are standard sized buttons with a hole in the centre for the spraplock system. This means you can use a strap without straplocks if needed. A strap without Straplocks would not be secure on these Flush fitting Buttons.
