Low Tack Masking Tape has a wide range of applications in guitar building, finishing, and general workshop use. It is particularly well suited to tasks where clean masking and safe removal are essential.
Common uses include masking off binding lines, fretboards, nut slots, pickup cavities, and control routes during spraying, staining, or clear coating. The low-tack adhesive reduces the risk of lifting lacquer, nitrocellulose, or water-based finishes, making it suitable for use on both fresh and cured surfaces.
We regularly use this tape for paint repairs, touch-ups, and finish corrections, where controlled adhesion is required to prevent marking or damaging the surrounding finish. It can also be used to temporarily secure templates, protect hardware during assembly, and organise wiring during mock-ups.
Designed for luthiers, guitar builders, and repair workshops, this tape offers reliable masking performance while minimising residue and finish damage on removal.
