ALNICO II MAGNETS FOR GREAT SUSTAIN.

Our Vintage 90 set uses Alnico II magnets for great sustain and unrivalled clarity. Played clean, they deliver authentic single coil tones but with more girth and body than a Strat or Tele pickup can deliver. Crank up the gain for a thick yet clear and articulate distortion tone.

Construction-wise, each Vintage 90 pickup offers incredible attention to detail. Nickel-Silver is used for the baseplate, and the hook-up wire is vintage-spec braided single conductor wire. The neck and bridge pickups are a RWRP set, offering hum-cancelling performance in mid-position when used with a standard three-way toggle. Black and Cream covers are available as standard.

Rescued!

A trio of vintage voiced P90s to replace the stock P100s has made my non reverse Gibson Firebird the guitar it should have been. Having owned a 1966 original Firebird 1 I can tell the difference and these, like my Surfaris in my strat, are the business. I don’t know how they do it at the price TBH.

Tonerider Vintage P90s

I installed a pair of these in my Epiphone TV yellow LP Special as I found the original pickups to be lacking some clarity and definition.
These Toneriders have made a huge difference. Clearer, plenty bite and still retaining that classic P90 sound. A lot of pickup for not a lot of money! Would definitely recommend.

Great pickups at a budget price

Bought these to replace the standard pickups (Fender designed soapbars) in a Squier Paranormal Stratosonic, as I found them a bit lifeless and muddy.
The Toneriders are much better: more powerful (though not excessively so) with a bright but warm gritty sound. Good clarity and definition, and they respond really well to picking strength.
Are they as good as high-end boutique pickups? I've no idea but for the money they're excellent.
