Our Fret Tang Nipper makes undercutting fretwire quick and effortless, perfect for speeding up fretwork on bound necks while protecting lacquer finishes on unbound fretboards.

This tool precisely trims fret tangs to fit over neck bindings. Simply insert the fretwire into the guide notch, squeeze the handle, and achieve a clean undercut—without bending or crimping.

Also Great for Unbound Fingerboards

Try trimming the fret tang before installation. This minimizes cutting and filing of the overhanging crown, reducing the chance of fret twist and lifting.
