Product details

Introducing the official Fender S-1 Switch Push/Push Potentiometer—a dual-function component tailored to boost the versatility of your guitar controls. Not only does it perform as a standard potentiometer, but it also embeds a unique four-pole double-throw (4PDT) switch, granting innovative wiring configurations right at your fingertips.

Key Features:

  • Versatile Wiring Options: Achieve coil splitting, pickup addition/removal, series/parallel, and phase switching—all activated via the control knob.
  • Compatibility: Perfect fit for most USA and Mexico-made Stratocasters from 1954 to present.
  • Push/Push Design: An improved, user-friendly alternative to the traditional push/pull pot. Simply press the switch cap to activate.
  • Stable Control: The main control knob remains unaffected when toggling, eliminating accidental volume or tone changes.
  • Warm Output: Designed with 250K Ohms resistance, typically matched with single coil pickups.
  • Smooth Volume Transition: Features a logarithmic audio taper, ideal for volume controls, ensuring an even volume perception.
  • Optimal Mounting: Imperial threaded short shaft perfect for mounting on scratchplates or control plates without excess protrusion.
  • Durable Construction: Crafted from robust brass, it offers a precise 24-spline mount suitable for imperial-sized knobs.

Additional Notes: For optimal functionality, the S-1 switch is exclusively compatible with Fender S-1 Switch control knobs (sold separately). Users are also advised to handle with care during knob installation or removal due to the pot shaft's hollow design.

With a bit of clever modding, I've added 5 new sounds to my strat

With this, an S1 switch and a pot topper with a button in it, I've been able to add a bunch of new sounds to my strat. A lot of bang for your buck, as it costs less than most pedals and adds a whole lot of sonic possibilities.

New sounds are:
1)Neck and Bridge in parallel
2)Neck and Middle in series
3) Middle in series with Neck and Bridge in parallel
4) Middle and Bridge in series
5) Neck and Bridge in series
