Mylar Capacitors are commonly found in Gibson and Fender guitars and are a high quality component with a vast array of uses in guitar circuits.
The .033uF guitar tone capacitor is for those seeking a middle ground between the .022uF and .047uF capacitors. Whilst the .022uF is great for humbuckers and the .047uF perfect for single-coils the .033uF sits just in between, great if you have slightly darker sounding single coils or a bright humbucker.
Mylar capacitors are affordable, high-quality options similar to Orange Drops. Common in modern guitars, they offer better tolerance and more consistent performance than cheaper ceramic capacitors.
