Blank Telecaster Style Control Plate
Perfect for the builders or modders who need a custom option, our Blank Telecaster Style Control Plate comes with no holes for pots nor the switch slot so you can spec your electronics exactly as you like them.
These plates will fit import Telecaster style pickguards, which typically have the larger 34m wide control plate fitted. They're 2.13mm thick and come supplied with colour matched screws. Before purchasing please make sure to check the diagrams to ensure a good fit.
When drilling, please take care to cover both sides with a good quality masking tape. Screw the plate firmly to a piece of scrap wood and then drill slowly with the appropriate drill bit. If you have one, a drill press will do a better job than a standard drill.

I decided to mod a Squier Tele and installed a single dogear P90 in the bridge position to create an “Esquire Jnr” so no need for for a selector switch so replaced the standard control plate with a blank one and drilled it out for vol and tone controls.
Turned the switchplate 180 degrees and swapped the tone/volume controls on by Squier Affinity Telecaster. Easy to drill and the finished result looks really good. Nice chrome finish.
I have a Michael Kelly t-style with a thick control plate. This is equal in thickness and quality is good with very flat mirrored finish. No compromise on this item, premium quality for premium guitars.
