Right Handed 8-hole Scratchplate to fit most USA, Mexican Telecasters and Squier model Telecasters

In 1969, Fender changed the design of their scratchplates. Moving away from 5 fixing screw holes to 8. They'd come to realise that the original 5 holes weren't enough to keep the plate from lifting away from the body in certain areas.

Mounting holes for the neck pickup were also introduced, thus making pickup height adjustment much easier (previously the scratchplate would need to be removed to do this)

We've modelled our 8-hole scratchplates on this more modern design but with a wider variety of colours.

Screws misaligned

I really liked the scratchplate, but the screw holes didn't align exactly with the existing ones - only a couple of mm's out but enough that would have required me to drill into my guitar and i wasn't prepared to do that for what was only ever going to be a temporary change. However, the service from Northwest Guitars was exemplary and a refund was issued promptly.
